We Are Over 50%!

This week has been a much-needed encouragement for us and a great reminder that God will continue to provide. We are so humbled by the generous giving of so many and the excitement that people have shown for what we are doing.

Our weekend was very full of chances to present our Wycliffe ministry at Grace Bible Church in Marshall, VA. They have been such a huge partner on this journey and we were so blessed to have the chance to tell them more about Bible translation. While the work keeps us very busy during this stage, it is such an encouragement to be around these great people again.

Preaching on the Tower of Babel and the dispersion of languages

The teens are experiencing what it would be like not to have the Bible in your heart language!

What a fantastic weekend with a great church!

But there's more good news:

Last week, we crossed the 50% mark on our way to fulfill the monthly ministry budget that Wycliffe has assigned us!

What does this mean?

The ministry budget is designed to provide for all of our Wycliffe ministry and needs as we live on the field. It accounts for our pay, our health insurance, evacuation insurance (a necessity on the field), retirement, and social security. We are so thankful for the years of experience that Wycliffe has in caring for their missionaries and preparing them for the field.

Many people and churches have chosen to partner financially with our Wycliffe ministry, and many more have expressed their desire to partner as well. It has been so exciting to see people get on board with Bible translation and to find ways to help out.

What do we need?

The next step for us is to begin our long-term linguistics training at Dallas International University in January. In order to do that, our supervisor has recommended that we have all (or nearly all) of our assigned monthly budget promised by the time classes start. This training is critical for learning how to interact with languages in a meaningful way and how to translate the Bible accurately across very large and unique language barriers. I'm so excited about this training and know that it will make us more effective as we help people access the Bible in their language.

That goal may seem daunting, but we are very optimistic. We have been able to connect with a lot of people in the last couple of months, and many have told us that they would like to partner very soon. It has been such a fruitful time of presenting our Wycliffe ministry and introducing people to Bible translation.

What can you do?

Now is the time to get on board!

If you've been considering partnering with our Wycliffe ministry in this way, we would love for you to join now. Missing our opportunity to start Dallas in January would push our timeline back about six months as we wait for the next semester of classes to start.

Wycliffe simply asks that we have our full budget promised to begin this next step. If you're thinking that you'd like to be a part of this but aren't quite ready to start giving yet, that is totally fine. The most helpful thing you could do is to let us know how much you're hoping to give in the future. That goes a very long way in helping us plan for our training.

No gift is too small or too big.

We have people giving anywhere from $10-$300 per month, and truly every dollar helps us get closer to our goal of getting the Bible to people that don't yet have it in their language. You can visit our Give page above to learn more about how you can partner with our Wycliffe ministry.

THANK YOU to those who are already praying for us faithfully and giving financially!

We can't do this without you!
