My Interview with John Chesnut
Last month, as part of my new podcast, I had the opportunity to interview John Chesnut. He currently serves as the President and CEO of Wycliffe Bible Translators USA (that's who we work for).
We initially met John and his wife Kelly at our very first training in Orlando back in the summer of 2019. These two people are so kind and genuine and it was so great to meet them right as John was stepping into his role as President.
This interview with John kicks off Season 2 of the podcast as we explore a little more of what is involved in Bible translation. The topic this time is Strategic Partnerships! These are the relationships that we as an organization have with other organizations that make it possible for the Word of God to reach more people. These can be small national organizations that provide national translators to do the work or large global groups that focus on a specific aspect of translation, such as audio recordings of Scripture.
One major partnership that we have is with SIL. You've probably heard us mention them before. They are a globally respected linguistics organization that works in nearly every country of the world to develop minority languages and provide training and support for translation work in those languages. They are a very important part of making this work happen!
Listen to the newest episode and hear John Chesnut's passion for making sure that these relationships are strong and long-lasting so that as many people as possible can have access to God's Word!
