It's an exciting time to be a part of Wycliffe Bible Translators. A little over a year ago, Wycliffe celebrated the translation of its 1,000th New Testament. Here's a little video of the celebration of that language project:
It's incredible to see and feel the momentum that is gaining behind the work of Bible translation. We are truly bringing God's Word to the world!
This week, Titus said to Lindsay and me,
"We are like God's mailmen. We are delivering the Bible in their language straight from God to people that don't have it!"
And it's so true! We feel that it is an honor to get to do what we're doing. And we want you to be a part of it.
Last month, we shared with you about the dedication of the Bakwé New Testament in Côte d'Ivoire. What struck me was that the response to completing this project was not how great the few missionaries were that had been on the ground with this project. It was immense gratitude for the hundreds, or even thousands, of people back in the US or Germany or Korea that had partnered with Wycliffe and these missionaries in order to make all of this possible.
We're all on the same team! There's no distinction between those that go and those that stay, as long as the whole team is working together to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to the ends of the earth.
God has called our family to go. We have no doubt of that, and you can hear a little bit of our story in a recent video from Wycliffe.
Now we're asking for people that would be willing to stay here and partner with our Wycliffe ministry as we go. It is our desire to bring the Bible to those that have never heard, then to return in celebration with all the people that are a part of this team. It takes a team to make translation possible.
Wycliffe recommends that commitments for our ministry budget team be complete before we begin our training in Dallas in January. Would you be willing to join our Wycliffe team? Visit our website: www.campbellsonmission.com/join-us
We would be thrilled to have you on board.
